We make choices for us.  God is in control of the transformation part. Larry Crabb once wrote that every human interaction has the potential for ministry or manipulation.  I view it as  trust vs control.  So I choose to collaborate with trust with my co-workers, I partner with trust with my wife, and I build and mentor trust in my daughter towards her 18th birthday. As soon as we set out to transform, how is it not corrupt, short sighted no matter how good we are and ultimately a step of control no matter how good the intentions?
